Satin Slide Sheets

Single Handed Care

Moving & Handling

Our aim is to offer helpful guidance, information and education on helping to prevent and care for pressure related injuries. Proper positioning performs an integral role in the fight against pressure ulcers developing and degrading.

Working with industry leading manufacturers, we actively source products which offer optimal pressure distribution. Proven to help prevent and stop the degradation of pressure ulcers, their use contributes a substantial reduction in shearing forces and friction.

In line with The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, we are proud to provide “Cost-effective pressure ulcer care….to provide relief for persons suffering from, or at risk of, pressure ulcers”.

Satin Slide Sheets

Satin slide sheets with their low friction sliding satin panels make moving and turning easier in bed.
A base sheet enables an independent user to move with minimal effort. When a user is less mobile, adding a draw sheet allows a caregiver to assist them with their turning and repositioning.
The sheet material is kind on skin and breathable, resulting in the effective prevention of shearing and sweating.
Designed to be left in the bed there is no need to insert and remove the sheets each time the user position needs adjusting, saving time for the caregiver and unnecessary turning of the user.
Suitable for use in medical, caring and domestic environments, satin slide sheets offer practical benefits as well as being carer and user friendly.

Pressure Care

Pressure ulcers are injuries to the skin and underlying tissue, primarily caused by prolonged, excess pressure on the skin. They are sometimes called pressure sores or bedsores.
They can affect anyone, but usually affect people confined to bed, or who sit in a chair or wheelchair for long periods of time.
Proper positioning is crucial, and the use of pressure relief positioning cushions, slings and bedding can greatly assist in the prevention of pressure ulcers.
Their use improves abnormal posture and provides even weight distribution, resulting in a significant reduction in shearing and friction forces
